Hello friends. My name is Meg, and The Red Spoon is my little corner of the internet. What we do here is all things awesome. Specifically, we cook, make, and bake new and interesting things and chronicle our adventures in photos and narratives. And by we, I mean mostly me, but also Henry, my not so teeny tiny baby son. And Josh. My hubs. He helps out sometimes too.
I started this blog after burning through all of my newleywed recipes (read: three) and needing new ideas. I found myself immersed in the food blogging community as I searched and searched for cool things to make for my friends and family, and decided one day to make my membership official. There’s been no looking back since. Josh and I have evolved into full blown fearless lobsters, trying anything and everything but always going with what is fresh and in season. Our latest craze? Baby food. Er, not for us. For Henry and his mouth full of gums. We pretty much stick to the real person food.
If you’re looking for a recipe, we have a pretty robust recipe index you can check out. There’s also a place to look up conversions and measurements. A lot of other blogs were doing it, so we thought why not. We’re also always adding to our produce page, a resource for finding what’s in season and how to select and store it. There are also some other things you can check out, like tips and how to’s, and an ever growing FAQ if you have any questions.
